Mona comes home late, just as Adriana instructed, and her husband is in bed. Mona feels the oh-so-familiar guilt pains in her head, her stomach, she kisses him. “Tell me you love me,” she whispers. He doesn’t reply. She snuggles into bed with him and they she falls asleep. She wakes up alone.
